Only a few years and a new generation of high-tech paddles was born. PU-Rim paddles were developed from simple wood paddles. The new generation is really competitive and highly powerful. We are one of the leader in this branch. We always find new solutions being easier to handle, more universal, faster and more powerful. Developments like the Nordic, Warp and especially the ergonomic design are really significant for the production of paddles.
The first ideas of the lightweight construction were quickly rejected. The blades have to be distinctive for an optimal handling in the stream and for higher speed. A Lettmann paddle provides the same speed with less power! Our ultra light carbon paddles are made of carbon-Kevlar and Epoxy.
Thomas Schmidt won the gold medal of the canoe slalom in Sydney in 2000 with the Ergonom paddle. Also Birgit Fischer, the record-holder, trusts Lettmann’s paddles. Lettmann’s paddles take first place in all kayaking disciplines. Quality and efficiency are always impressive.
